Opera North in Newcastle
Rigoletto | Alcina

Opera North’s Winter season presents two powerful productions with topical themes. In Handel’s Alcina all is not what it seems on the island of enchantment. A tale of deception and trickery unfolds. In Verdi’s opera, the eponymous jester seeks revenge, but a powerful curse is at work and murderous intentions create a cruel twist of fate.

During the second day we will visit the remarkable and vibrant, modern art collection in the Baltic Gallery.
Performances are at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle.
