Opera & Christmas Markets in Leipzig
La Traviata | Christmas Oratorio | Lohengrin
The city of music, birthplace of Wagner and home of Bach at the height of his career. Enjoy the bustle of the Christmas Markets, the glühwein, the colourful stalls and hear wonderful music in the evening.
Early booking is essential.
We meet at the hotel close to the impressive station. A welcome reception will be followed by a traditional German dinner in the Auerbachs Keller – a place immortalised by Goethe in Faust.
We will visit many of the historical places in the city, the Old Rathaus Museum, Wagner’s schoolroom, the Mendelssohn House, the fascinating Grassi Musical Instrument Museum and the Bach Archiv Museum.
